Programme Overview
Electronic technologies form the foundation of modern society, making possible the devices and systems that we rely upon in our daily life such as mobile communications, computer networks, medical equipment, video and audio systems and industrial control and automation. Electronics is a broad engineering field, giving students enormous flexibility and wide-ranging career options. The Diploma of Electronic Engineering will focus on applying basic concepts and skills to real-world situations and developing broad-based knowledge with a curriculum that includes electronic devices, communications, automation and control, software engineering and embedded systems.

Proramme Learning Outcomes (PLO)
On completion of the programme, graduates should be able to acquire/perform/practice:
Ability to acquire and apply Electronic engineering knowledge to wide practical procedures and practices.
Ability to identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified methods of analysis appropriate to Electronic engineering.
Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems, components or processes with consideration to public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
Conduct investigations of well-defined problems, identifying relevant codes and catalogues, conduct standard tests and measurements.
Apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern tools to well defined engineering problems, with an awareness of the limitations.
Demonstrate knowledge of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and its repercussions to engineering technician practice and solutions to well-defined engineering problems.
Understand the sustainability and impact of engineering technician work in well-defined engineering problems in societal and environmental contexts.
Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of technician practice.
Able to communicate effectively on well-defined engineering activities in both oral and written means with the engineering community and society.
