Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary engineering branch incorporating Mechanical, Electronics, Control, Networking and Software systems. The synergy of these systems is widely used in multiple industries which typically include automation and system integration. Graduates are therefore involved in almost all levels of various sectors, namely: design, development, applications, manufacturing and advanced research.

PO1 Engineering Knowledge
Acquire and apply knowledge of applied mathematics, applied science, computing, mechatronic engineering technology fundamentals and its specialisations to wide practical procedures and practices.
PO2 Problem Analysis
Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems reaching conclusions using codified methods of analysis specific to mechatronic engineering.
PO3 Design/ Development of Solutions
Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public safety and health, as well as cultural, societal, and environmental considerations as required.
PO4 Investigation
Conduct investigations of well-defined problems; locate and search relevant codes and catalogues, conduct standard tests and measurements.
PO5 Tool Usage
Apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering computing and IT tools to well-defined engineering problems, with an awareness of the limitations.
PO6 The Engineering Technicians and the World
Consider sustainable development impacts to: society, the economy, sustainability, health and safety, legal frameworks, and the environment, in solving well-defined engineering problems.
